The project reflects on the use of video and film in Italian art from the 1970s to the present, exploring practices that traverse and exceed disciplinary boundaries while continually redefining the status of the moving image. Video is understood not merely as a medium, but as a field of experience capable of generating relationships, perceptual shifts, and new narrative possibilities.

In this context, the work of Giovanni Giaretta enters into a dialogue between image, storytelling, and the construction of vision, prompting a reflection on how images are formed, transformed, and made meaningful. His works place documentation and fiction, memory and observation in tension, articulating visual dispositifs that interrogate the relationship between space, time, and perception.
