The three official prizes of the 18th Quadriennale di Roma have been awarded: Vedovamazzei, Antonio Della Guardia, and Lulù Nuti were recognized for three complementary perspectives on contemporary Italian art.
The jury highlighted how Antonio Della Guardia’s performative installation transforms the architecture of the Palazzo delle Esposizioni into a living organism: through the work of two performers, the space is traced, reinterpreted, and animated, creating an autonomous language in which body, sound, and architecture intertwine into a single cohesive fabric. Every subtle variation of the work is designed to reflect on how identity is shaped and reshaped within an institutional space.
