biography

Damir Ocko was born in 1977 in Zagreb (HR), where he currently lives and works.

His practice involves film, collage, photography, installations and artist books. Working in between the edges of reality and fiction: Ocko documents reality, while maintaining critical distance from it. Instead of focusing on the issue he rather tends to explore the potential in subjects placed in his work.
He represented Croatia at 56. Venice Biennale (2015), with a solo show entitled Studies on Shivering: The Third Degree curated by Marc Bembekoff.
In 2019 he won the first prize HTaward at MSU Zagreb for the film DICTA II

Damir Ocko's exhibitions at Galleria Tiziana Di Caro

Alway in Salerno he did his second solo show: it was 2012 and the name of the show was We saw nothing but the uniform blue of the Sky. One year later Galleria Tiziana Di Caro presented Films a screening of the whole video production by Damir Ocko.
