biography

Sissi (Daniela Olivieri) was born in 1977 in Bologna (IT). She currently lives between Bologna and London.

Sissi's practice includes a wide range of media such as performance, paiting, drawing, installation and video. Sissi’s research focuses on the human body, which is analyzed almost scientifically through tools and methods borrowed from disciplines such as archeology and anatomy. The dimension reached is imaginative, because the results of these investigations lead to new, unexpected forms and identities aiming at investigating the difficult and uncertain balance of the individual in the world around him/her, and connecting this dimension with that of one’s inner universe.

Sissi's exhibition at Galleria Tiziana Di Caro
