biography
Nicolas Pallavicini was born in 1976 in Buenos Aires (RA). He lives and work in Munich (DE)
His practice is devoted entirley to painting. Since 2005 central to Pallavicini's research is the landscape: the works, all large sized, feature wide brush strokes in which the abstract facet does not conceal sections of sky, land, views. Nature is therefore "portrayed by another, analogous nature". His exploration of the theme of landscape, in 2011 production, gives way to a total destructuring of form, a fragmentation of the idea, which develops through disarranged backgrounds, at once solid yet only outlined.
In his latest production, through paintings,he places himself on the border between two different contexts, in an area where human thinking seems to be left disoriented.
