biography

Lina Selander was born in 1973 in Stokholm (SE), where she currently lives and works.

Lina Selander's practice involves mainly films and installations. Her films and installations often focus on junctures in history where a system or physical place collapses and something new begins to emerge. Each work constitutes a dense archive of facts and observations, occasionally in dialogue with other films, works of art or literature.

She represented Sweden at 56. Venice Biennale (2015), with a solo show entitled Excavation of the Image - Imprint, shadow, spectre, thought, curated by Lena Essling.

Lina Selander's exhibitions at Galleria Tiziana Di Caro

In 2014, when the gallery was still in Salerno Lina Selander was invited by Tiziana Di Caro at the group show Journey to the end of the word.
